Riverside Learning - New Building Administrator Workshop

Build your leadership confidence with Riverside Learning’s New Building Administrator Training — a comprehensive professional learning experience designed specifically for building-based school leaders. This hands-on workshop explores educator evaluation, legal issues impacting K–12 education, DESE accountability data, Title VI/IX responsibilities, and the principal’s role in policies, procedures, and school practices. Participants will engage in real-world case studies, collaborative problem-solving, networking, and practical application activities led by experienced educational leaders. PDPs are provided, and four off-site events are available for participants across the region.

Registration is $595 per participant, and customized district or regional offerings are also available.

Three Sample Professional Practice SMART(ER) Goals

By June 2027, I will strengthen my effectiveness as a building leader by implementing at least three leadership practices learned through Riverside Learning’s New Building Administrator Training related to educator evaluation, legal compliance, collaborative leadership, and data-informed decision making. I will apply these practices through staff supervision, leadership team collaboration, and school improvement planning, as evidenced by meeting artifacts, educator feedback, evaluation documentation, and school data analysis.
By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, I will improve my instructional and operational leadership capacity by applying learning from professional development focused on educator evaluation, DESE accountability systems, Title VI/IX responsibilities, and school-based leadership practices. I will facilitate collaborative leadership processes and contribute to building-wide systems that support equitable student outcomes, as evidenced by leadership reflections, administrative artifacts, staff collaboration records, and school climate indicators.
By June 2027, I will strengthen collaborative leadership and educator support systems by implementing strategies learned through Riverside Learning’s New Building Administrator Training, including effective feedback practices, legal and ethical leadership responsibilities, and data-informed decision making. I will support educator growth and team collaboration through regular meetings, instructional support, and professional dialogue, as evidenced by meeting documentation, staff feedback, and reflective leadership practices.
