Kim Taylor is a seasoned educational leader with over 30 years of experience in early childhood and elementary education. She brings a deep understanding of how strong systems, thoughtful leadership, and responsive instruction come together to create schools where both students and educators thrive.
Kim currently serves as Principal of the F.X. O’Regan Early Childhood Development Center in Franklin, where she leads a growing public preschool community grounded in inclusive practices, strong relationships, and developmentally appropriate learning. Her work focuses on building cohesive school cultures, supporting educators through meaningful professional learning, and ensuring that systems truly meet the needs of young children and their families.
Throughout her career, Kim has led schools and teams through complex change with clarity and care. In Dedham, she guided the successful transition to a new early childhood center while strengthening curriculum, assessment, and collaborative structures across preschool and kindergarten. In Framingham and Douglas, she led efforts to align instruction, expand inclusive practices, and use data in ways that actually inform teaching and support students—without losing sight of the human side of the work.
What sets Kim apart is her ability to bridge vision and implementation. She doesn’t just talk about what schools should be—she helps leaders and teams build the structures, habits, and shared understanding needed to get there. Her approach is practical, student-centered, and grounded in real school experience.
Kim is also an active contributor to the broader education community. She has held leadership roles within the Massachusetts School Administrators Association and currently serves as a Fellow with the National Association of Elementary School Principals’ Center for Early Learning Leadership. She regularly presents on topics such as early childhood equity, play as a powerful instructional strategy, and building strong, inclusive school cultures.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Stonehill College and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College, along with Massachusetts licensure as an Early Childhood Teacher and Elementary Principal.
Through her work with Riverside Learning, Kim partners with schools and districts to design thoughtful, sustainable approaches to early learning, leadership development, and inclusive systems—always with a focus on what is practical, impactful, and centered on children.
